Hi!
My name is Monica Reifegerste from Maxim's Dogue Brasil Kennel, aka Maxim's 4 Great Danes.
We are located in Latin America, in the city of Florianópolis, on the island of Santa Catarina, south of Brazil.
We have been owning and breeding Great Danes since 2002, but only very few litter, just to keep our own pack and/or for selected people who are interested in acquiring one of our puppies on a co-ownership basis. This is due to the large number of dogs of this breed (and others as well) that end their days in abandonment, mistreatment, or in a rescue website for adoption, or dying prematurely due to lack of attention and/or necessary care.
We are very concerned about having the financial and logistical conditions to house everyone, including those who may have been sold, but due to some misfortune of their owners or due to negligence need to return to us, even if they are already very old.
For this reason, we have a waiting list for those who are interested in one of our puppies. The priority among those enrolled is primarily the profile of the interested party. We need to make sure that the person who comes to us has some knowledge of the breed, has a rough idea of the maintenance costs, knows their needs, and also knows what to expect from a Great Dane, that is, if the profile of the interested party and their expectations are aligned with the profile of this breed. It is very important that the interested party reads the official breed standard and does some research on it before enrolling on our reservation list.
This is important to avoid unpleasantness and troubles for both, the person who is interested and the dane that is being acquired. Each breed has its physical and behavioral features and peculiarities, each breed has a different purpose in its utility, and what the buyer is looking for is not always compatible with the breed that aroused his interest.
It is very important to first research everything about the various breeds and check which one fully meets your expectations, motivation and the goal that led you to look for a puppy.

Owners who acquire one of our puppies receive free advice and assistance regarding the care and handling of the acquired dog for a lifetime, that is, throughout the life of their dog. 📖 🐾
On average we only breed one litter every seven years, so you will need to sign up for a potential buyer/owner list as the number of puppies is extremely limited.
We focus on quality, not quantity, we are not a dog factory, we are not interested in business, but only in the preservation of the classic breed type and its welfare.
However, visitors are always welcome for knowledge and education purposes about the breed.

Our next litter is scheduled for the end of 2023 or the first half of 2024. This is due to the fact that in 2023 I will be turning 62 and therefore this will be our last litter. 🏆
The value of the puppy varies between U$ 1,000.00 to U$ 5,000.00 or even more, depending on gender, coat color, pedigree's lineage, plus transportation costs to final destination.
