Santa Catarina has the first female Aircraft Marshaller
Taking the kids from a school on an airport tour...
Coordination of aircraft on the ground at the Operations Center of Florianópolis International Airport.
Saying goodbye to my coworkers as I begin my chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.
It's truly something special to guide a massive machine with nothing but your hands and a pair of paddles!
The responsibility of guiding a gigantic aircraft to its position, often in a very busy area under sun, rain, cold or heat – it's an unparalleled experience!
Even after countless repetitions, it's always a new, unique and exciting experience!
Aircraft marshalling is truly amazing!
I loved it!
Later, at the Airport Operations Center, we managed traffic and movimentantion of aircrafts on the aprons, scheduled and executed docking and parking operations in coordination with the control tower, scheduled and managed boarding and disembarking gates, entered and updated flight information in integrated passenger and user information systems, collected aeronautical fees from foreign aircraft, and much more.
This work demanded constant attention and precision in the flow of aircraft on the ground and real-time accurate and updated information to ensure safety, speed, efficiency, and punctuality.
Our mission: Traffic and Safety in perfect harmony in execution.
A perfect combination for those who love pure adrenaline!
